Everybody who is anybody is talking about Mohanlal and his Vanaprastham. The story is about a Kathakali artiste. And Mohanlal being Mohanlal, he learnt the nuances of the art not only from a master but also by watching his co-artistes who are Kathakali performers. But what earned him accolades more than his acting is the fact that during the shooting of the film, he would not remove the heavy headgear even if he was not required to keep it on, say, for some 13 hours a day. The Kathakali artistes themselves are astonished that Mohanlal endured all this. That is dedication for you.
