Among Rajeev's works - Latha rates his Mohanlal - Starrer 'Pavithram' as his best.'' I love all his films, be it 'Chanakyan', Kannu Ezuthi Pottum Thottu', 'Thacholi Varghese Chekavar' and so on as each one has a story to tell. Pavithram stays close to heart, as even today you play the movie on TV and you can see Rajeev break down and cry by the time the movie nears its climax. Lal simply outshone and outgrew from the writers expectations with the character.
